Acceptable Use Policy

Bevel — A Backend Output LLC Product
Effective date: July 5, 2026 · Last updated: July 5, 2026

This policy describes what you can and can't do on Bevel. It is part of our Terms of Service — by using Bevel, you agree to it. The short version: use Bevel to run your construction business, don't use it to harm anyone else's.

1. Use Bevel Lawfully

Bevel is a construction project management platform. Use it for lawful business purposes. You may not use Bevel to store, transmit, or generate content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, or that infringes anyone else's intellectual property or privacy rights.

You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload. Construction plans, specifications, and drawings are often owned by architects, engineers, or owners — only upload documents you are licensed or authorized to use for your project.

2. Respect Other Organizations' Data

Bevel is a multi-tenant platform. Every organization's data is isolated from every other organization's. You agree not to:

  • •Attempt to access, view, or modify another organization's projects, documents, financials, or any other data
  • •Probe, scan, or test the platform for vulnerabilities without our prior written authorization
  • •Attempt to bypass authentication, row-level security, or any other access control
  • •Share account credentials or use another person's account without permission

If you believe you've found a security vulnerability, report it to support@bevel.build. We take good-faith reports seriously and will not pursue action against researchers who report responsibly and don't access data that isn't theirs.

3. No Malicious Content

Don't upload malware, viruses, or any file designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to any system. Don't use Bevel's document storage, email capture, or messaging features to distribute harmful content to others.

4. Fair Use of AI Features

Bevel's AI features — Smart Project runs, AI chat, plan analysis, voice transcription, AI actions — exist to help you manage your projects. You agree not to:

  • •Attempt to manipulate AI features through prompt injection — for example, crafting document content or messages designed to make the AI ignore its instructions, reveal system prompts, or act outside its intended purpose
  • •Use AI features to attempt to extract data belonging to other organizations
  • •Use AI features to generate content that is illegal, deceptive, or intended to harm others
  • •Run automated scripts or bots against AI features, or otherwise use them at volumes far beyond normal business use, in an attempt to circumvent plan limits
  • •Resell or rebrand Bevel's AI outputs as a competing service

Remember that AI outputs are preliminary and require your professional review — see our AI Disclaimer.

5. Rate Limits & Plan Allowances

To keep Bevel fast and reliable for everyone, we enforce rate limits and plan allowances — daily AI question limits, monthly Smart Project runs, monthly SMS message allowances, storage caps, and per-endpoint request limits. These vary by subscription plan and are described on our pricing page.

Attempting to evade rate limits — through multiple accounts, automated retries, or any other mechanism — is a violation of this policy. If your legitimate business needs exceed your plan's limits, contact us and we'll find you the right plan.

6. Messaging & Communications

Bevel lets you send emails (bid invitations, project communications) and SMS messages to your team and contacts. When you send messages through Bevel:

  • •Only message people who have a business relationship with you or have consented to hear from you
  • •No spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or deceptive sender information
  • •Honor opt-outs promptly — if a recipient asks you to stop, stop
  • •Comply with applicable communications laws, including TCPA and CAN-SPAM in the United States

7. Enforcement

If you violate this policy, we may — depending on severity — warn you, throttle or disable specific features, suspend your account, or terminate it under the Terms of Service. For serious violations (illegal activity, attacks on the platform, attempts to access other organizations' data), we may suspend immediately and without notice, and may notify law enforcement where appropriate.

To report abuse by another Bevel user, email support@bevel.build.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced the same way as changes to our Terms of Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
