Cookie Policy

Bevel — A Backend Output LLC Product
Effective date: July 5, 2026 · Last updated: July 5, 2026

The short version: Bevel uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

What Bevel Stores in Your Browser

CategoryWhat it doesRequired?
AuthenticationSession tokens that keep you signed in to your account and refresh your session securelyYes — the app can't work without them
PreferencesYour settings — theme, language, table layouts, dismissed banners, notification preferencesNo, but the app forgets your settings without them
Payment (Stripe)When you check out, Stripe sets cookies on its own pages for payment security and fraud preventionOnly during checkout

Some of this lives in cookies, some in your browser's local storage — both are covered by this policy.

What We Don't Use

  • •No advertising cookies. Bevel shows no ads and sets no ad-network cookies.
  • •No cross-site tracking. We don't follow you around the internet, and we don't let anyone else do it through our site.
  • •No cookie-based analytics. We measure site performance with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which are cookieless — they use anonymized, aggregated measurements and cannot identify you or track you across sites.

Why There's No Cookie Banner

Cookie consent laws (like the EU's ePrivacy rules) require consent for non-essential cookies — advertising, tracking, and profiling cookies. Bevel doesn't use any of those. The cookies we set are strictly necessary for signing in or store preferences you've chosen, which is why you won't see a consent pop-up.

If we ever introduce cookies that require consent, we'll add a consent mechanism before they're set and update this policy.

Managing Cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you clear Bevel's cookies and storage, you'll be signed out and your display preferences will reset — nothing in your projects is affected, since your data lives on our servers, not in your browser.
