Planet Construction J2911, LLC is a full-service commercial general contractor headquartered in Lake Charles, Louisiana — and building nationally. Active coast to coast across 27+ states, we have delivered over 1.7 million square feet of commercial construction spanning medical, multifamily, hospitality, religious, retail, commercial office, and fitness projects — from tenant improvements and renovations to ground-up construction. Our Story

Where the name comes from

Planet Construction J2911 was founded in November 2016 by Brandon Robinson and Jeffrey Babineaux, a builder with more than 26 years in commercial construction. Both founders came from the ownership side of national franchise businesses — so they built the company around what owners actually need from a contractor: straight answers, tight schedules, and a building that opens on time.

In December 2020, Ted Norman joined as VP of Construction, bringing 198 new builds and remodels completed over eight years. What began with a national fitness build program has grown into a full-service portfolio — medical, multifamily, hospitality, religious, retail, and commercial office work across 27+ states — guided by the verse the company is named for.
